THE YOUNG PROFESSIONAL ONLINE FELLOWS ALUMNI STORIES:

In an effort to contributes to the human capacity development gaps Africa through the youth’s capacity development programs, the YPDP present the portfolios of its young professional online alumnus of Cohort two who have gone through the various forms of professional fellowship courses prescribed by YPDP.

We are confident that our alumni experience with the young professionals online fellowship cycle of professional training will be a “life changing one” in which they will grow in their journey of becoming “a transformed leader, “ready to share the knowledge gained, with their respective institutions, peers and their communities large.

COHORT TWO

ABDUL RAHMAN MUSTAPHA KOWA
SIERRA LEONE

Abdul Rahman Kowa is an experienced Civic Leader, Public Sector Practitioner, Trainer/Tutor, Volunteer, Conflict Mediator and Researcher. He is a Team leader at the Office of National Security in Sierra Leone providing early warning and advice to Government of Sierra Leone on national emergencies. He is a Volunteer Coordinator and Youth Ambassador with a demonstrated history of working in the public sector, non-profit volunteer organizations and management industry spanning for over a period of 8 years. He is a skilled Strategic Planner providing leadership for 3 Non Profit Volunteer Organizations. Abdul Rahman has a Strong professional background with a master degree in Business Administration focusing on Executive Management. His focus lies in governance and development issues as they impact positively on the lives of the ordinary poor. His aspiration is to become a global development expert and skills development provider.

YUSIFU KAMARA
SIERRA LEONE

Yusifu Kamara is a Sierra Leonean at the age of 30 years of age. He is a graduate with the following qualifications: BSc in Population Studies and certificate in Population Analysis and Social Statistics. He has worked with different organizations in research fields. He does always have the passion to learn in order to develop my knowledge and skills.

FRANCIS G. BOAYUE
LIBERIA

Francis G. Boayue is a passionate young Liberian who has dedicated his life to selflessly advocate on behalf of the disadvantaged citizens of his country, Liberia. He is also a prospective graduate of the University of Liberia studying Public Administration Major and Mass Communication minor. He is involved into series of civic, religious and religious leadership and holds position within all of these and posse's an attitude of servant leadership. Francis is also passionate about acquering a contemporary technological professional training.

NGOZO PEGOKO RODRIGUE
CAMEROON

NGOZO RODRIGUE is a Diplomat at the Ministry of External Relations. NGOZO has several years of diplomacy and has since work for 4 years as acting Director of Cabinet of the Commonwealth Department in Cameroon.

Brachie Joyce Ntiriwaa is a simple, highly motivated, confident and results oriented individual with lots of passions for change. She also a result servant leader oriented personality easy to get adjusted to any situation.

ONUIGWE NZUBE VITUS
NIGERIA

Onuigwe Vitus, an alma mater at Christ the King College, CKC Onitsha, holds a BSc (Hon) in Medical Radiographer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, 2015. Onuigwe Nzube Vitus, has over ten years of experience in social services. Currently, Onuigwe Vitus work at Federal Medical Center, FMC Abuja as Medical Radiographer, were he focuses on providing essential diagnosis and contribute to the management of the patients. Contrary to His Medical activities, He had Co-founded an Agribusiness start-up. He also has experience in mobilization and social logistics. He had functions on a number of Young Africa Leaders Initiative, YALI activities, and on Road Traffic Crashes Advocate.

MAIMUNAH MUHAMMAD-BASHIR
NIGERIA

Maimunah Muhammad-Bashir is a graduate of Linguistics from University of Ilorin who is currently pursuing a master's degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy at Usmanu Danfodiyo University. She is passionate about volunteering and making positive impact in her community and promoting the 17 SDGs of United Nation. She loved being a part of the professional programs because, she believe she will have a lot of valuable knowledge. Her favorite’s part of the young professional fellowship program was learning more about Volunteering. It made her appreciate the values and knowledge you gain from volunteering in her community.

WASIU ADEMOLA ADEBAYO
NIGERIA

Wasiu Ademola Adebayo is a graduate of electrical and computer engineering. He loved to be a part of meaningful activities that have direct impact on humanity. Wasiu has taught students are secondary school level in the past years prior his ascendancy at his current job as a field service data engineer with one of the telecommunication firms in Nigeria. It is his desire to someday return to the classroom to develop young minds both professionally and intellectual wise. He love to work in an environment where solutions that have direct impact on human existence are proffered regularly through constant research and brainstorming.

MAIMUNA ALIYU LUKMAN
NIGERIA

Maimuna Aliyu lukman is an Entrepreneurship Action and Us (ENACTUS) member, Sokoto State for 4 years. She is presently a Director for Gender and women's right issue appointed by National Youth Coalition for Demovracy (NYCD) #Nottooyoungtorun. Maimuna is a YALI West Africa Alumni 2018 fellow. She volunteered as a domestic observer for 2019 general election. Maimuna also volunteered with Medicaid Cancer Foundation as a Social Media Officer in spreading cancer awareness and encouraging women to go for early cancer screening. Maimuna is a certified member of Nigeria institute of Management.

CHUKWUDUMEBI CHRISTIANA AKPAPUNA
NIGERIA

Christiana Akpapuna, is a 24 year of age graduate of Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Uyo, Uyo Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. She have held various leadership positions right from my High school days till date, She’s very diligent and determined in carrying out anything she set out to do. Christiana works perfectly with little or no Supervision; she is a lady of good communication skills and an excellence team player.

AKUDIKE JOHN CHIBUNDU
NIGERIA

Akudike John Chibundu is a final year Geoscience student at the Federal University of Technology Owerri who will obtain his Bachelor’s degree in 2019. He recently completed a 6-month Petroleum Geoscience Internship at ExxonMobil, where he focused on volumetric assessment and opportunity re-evaluation of an existing oil field. With a passion for Youth empowerment, Akudike volunteers as an Academic Coordinator and STEM Tutor in his University.

Okafor Innocent Okwudili is a degree holder in political science, a security and Safety Professional with 3 years’ work experience. Okafor is highly passionate about humanitarian charity works as a volunteer which has made him handle so many humanitarian charity projects in Abuja. Okafor has a great leadership and communication skills even as a motivational speaker.

Lawan Mukhtar Harbau is a people’s center individual who seeks to like helping others fined solution to humanity challenges. Lawan is politically oriented person who like to discover about himself and also read a lot of books that concern with relationship particularly love and respect for humanity. His insights in politics were drawn up due to his search for situation to the many humanity challenges faced in Africa. Lawan seek to provide solution that would only be possible by having good leaders and also by enlighten our youth and future generation of Africa by helping to change the curriculum of his country education starting from primary School to university level to meet contemporary standard.

Osahon has over 6years of experience in health, safety and environment and in volunteerism. Currently, He is a facilitator /trainer at World Safety Organization Nigeria, where he focuses on implementing organization's vision and mission, makes major corporate decisions, manage the overall operations and resources of the venture to carry out sensitization and awareness campaign on health, safety, environment and emergency response across communities, schools and organisations to promote safety and save lives . Furthermore, he volunteered as an election observer with Centre for Democracy and Development to promote the integrity of the just concluded 2019 General Election in Nigeria.

Valentine Idaewor is an international graduate of Criminology and a transformational leader who have strategically affect lives by addressing the issues of drugs abuse and depression. He is the founder of Open Leadership with a link to all that i have done.
